Three Active Man capsules contain 1500mg l-arginine, 900mg Korean ginseng, 450mg Damiana, 500mg Maca and 15mg zinc.
Arginine – is a precursor in the production of nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide is produced by all tissues of the body and helps to regulate blood flow as well as playing important roles in the immune and nervous systems.
Korean ginseng – the main components of Korean ginseng are ginsenosides, a diverse group of compounds. The ginsenosides demonstrate the ability to target a myriad of tissues, producing a variety of responses quite different from one another.
Damiana – it may have some benefit in impotency and in increasing depressed libido although the potential mode of action is not fully understood. Damiana contains a mixture of volatile oils, tannins, resins and glycosides.
Maca – also known as ‘Peruvian ginseng’ because it is used as a folk remedy to increase stamina, energy and sexual function. Maca is often referred to as an aphrodisiac and a natural means of improving sexual performance and fertility.
Zinc – it is responsible for the function of many of the enzymes of the body including the reproductive system. A few studies have shown that oral zinc supplementation improves sperm count and motility. The aphrodisiac properties of zinc have long been known with zinc rich foods such as oysters being particularly popular.
Take 3 tablets on an empty stomach 1 hour before activity.
Do not exceed the recommended intake.
L-arginine may increase the absorption of ibuprofen if taken concomitantly. Caution should be taken in patients with cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
